The Hienerman Triathlon is now in its 18 year and is an Olympic Distance event in the town of Darmstadt, just 30km from Frankfurt. The tough non drafting race always draws a strong field as it is strategically placed just after the Bundesleague event in Schliersee and one week prior to the Ironman in Frankfurt. The tough event brings the short course athletes against the Ironman guys and is a tough test. Previous event winners include, Simon Lessing, Lothar Leder, Shane Reed, Ritchie Cunningham, Andreas Raelert and Olivier Marcaeu.
