After winning this event last year I have decided to return to this amazing race to compete. The great thing about Europe is the events are so huge and the competition is the toughest in the World. Many of the USA based professionals avoid Europe because they don't like to race in the stacked fields. Unlike the USA, Europe has only 5 set Ironman 70.3 events on its Calendar, which means every event is stacked with talent. Last year I won this event in a sprint finish from defending Champion Marino Voenhaeker from Belgium. This year will be tougher again. The Ironman 70.3 Austria is the jewel of the Ironman 70.3 races in Europe. A super tough course along the Danube River, it is absolutely spectacular. To top it off, a stadium finish with thousands of spectators makes it one special event.
